Isole Egadi – Wedding and Glamour 2017
How should I tell, where should I start? We have spent a full of photography week at Marretimo, that is one of the islands of Egadi at west of Sicily. We really informed, had fun, inspired regarding wedding photography on this beautiful island, with my photographer friends from Turkey, Erkin and Orcun.
You can read the whole story at the bottom of the page (after the photos)…
Teachers and speakers were really wonderful. Mauricio Arias, Todd Laffler, Citlalli Rico, Daniel Aguilar, Christophe Viseux, Franck Boutonnet, Rocio Vega, Ivan Troyanosky, Maria Zavaglia, Nicola Tonolini, Rino Cordella, Fabio Mirulla, Sergio Cancelliere and Luigi Rota. We should specially thank to Sergio and Luigi for this organization. It was not an easy job to deal with 120 participants.
Marretimo is a typical Sicilian fishermen island and village. I think the number of participants was more than the population of the island. The biggest advantage of being on a small island is becoming easily socialized with everybody and forming the basis of establishing good friendships and connections. One of the most beautiful memories for me was the awards I received. I joined the photography contest during the workshop in four categories and ranked first in the categories of “best portfolio”. The other ones were “black and white atmosphere and contrast” and “magic of light” while I ranked second in the category of “the ceremony”. Even though the Nikon camera I received as a prize is always in my mind, I cannot give up Canon for now.
I think I will visit this island more often. Warm regards.
