Merve and Alper are a couple living in the town of Bayreuth in Bavaria, Germany. They met at school when Merve came to Germany from Bursa for education. Because Alper’s family was originally from Nevsehir, they found it appropriate to marry in Cappadocia.

This time Mike, a wedding photographer from Berlin, joined me as a second photographer for the wedding shooting. Mike is really a great person and a good friend. After two days of Cappadocia, we went to Izmir and spent a few days together. In the meantime, Mike took great family photos of us, thank you Mike.
On the morning of the wedding, we went to the hairdresser where we the preparation in Nevsehir would start. After a while Mike left me and went to the barber with the groom for Alper’s hair cut. When the preparatory photos finished, we had a photo session in Cappadocia valley with our magnificent red antique convertible car. It was a great weather for photo shoot, and sunny and cloudy at the same time. This is an ideal situation for photography. Although it was the wedding day, the photo shooting lasted for more than two hours,
After the photo session, we went to Kaya Hotel in the town of Uchisar where the wedding would take place. This hotel obviously impressed me, with its size and history. It was built between 1964 and 1968 over a period of 4 years. It is the world’s first rock-carved cave hotel and there were a lot of handcrafted items on the building. The hotel served as the French Med Club for years until 2006. Later on, it became the property of Dorak Holding, was restored and continued to serve as Kaya Hotel.
The Center of The Wedding
Until recently, Cappadocia was a place that was generally used for photo shooting but was not preferred for weddings. In recent years, with the introduction of large hotels and boutique hotels organizing weddings on their own place in the valley, it has started to attract the attention of many couples from all over the world. This is a very pleasing development because the atmosphere here is unprecedented. It is one of the places that will become an alternative wedding center in the world with its logistics and service quality.
After the wedding reception at the poolside, we had the chance to sleep at a reasonable time. With the sunrise at 5 am, the next morning, we had the opportunity to take a couple shoot for 2 hours while the balloons were in the air. Our couple and Mike were lucky to see the balloons in the air this day.
I wish my dear Merve and Alper health and happiness in their new lives in Germany. See you again.
