Some weddings also serve to renew friendships and memories that have lasted for years. Servet and Serdar’s wedding was exactly like this. I had previously taken wedding photos of Servet’s cousins. At that time, Servet was still a student and studying medical in Dokuz Eylül University in Izmir. Time passed quickly, Servet graduated and started his career as a doctor. She met her husband Serdar, who was also a doctor, thanks to her profession. It was inevitable that there would be many doctors among the guests on the wedding day :). Our wedding day took place in the elegant and natural atmosphere of Korineum Golf Resort. Everything went smoothly thanks to the hospitality of the hotel. The bride and groom made their preparations in separate rooms; the men got ready downstairs, the bride upstairs. The preparation process was quite fun and I had the chance to photograph many nice moments. The groom’s room in particular was a level of entertainment that rivaled the party in the evening. In the meantime, I had the chance to try out my new Blaze light stick that I had brought from Russia, in the bridal room. I think the results were very good and different.
First Meeting
Around 18:00, the couple had their ‘first meeting’ in front of the hotel. Servet gently touched Serdar’s shoulder from behind and Serdar saw his wife in her wedding dress for the first time. After this special moment, we took outdoor shots on the hotel’s huge golf course. Then, we took family and group shots near the wedding area. Here, I used my Godox light set as a fill flash for group shots. Godox really offers both practical and powerful systems to the sector.
Towards 20:00 in the evening, Servet arrived at the wedding area on his father’s arm. Both emotional and fun moments were experienced. The wedding ceremony took place among the olive trees and then the long line congratulations session, which is an indispensable part of Cyprus weddings, began. At 21:30, the couple arrived at the reception area for their first dance. This dance, accompanied by a dazzling fireworks display, was one of the most enchanting moments of the wedding.
Party on the Golf Area
After the dinner was served, the fun really picked up. Music, dancing and joyful moments continued throughout the night. The cake was cut in between and the guests continued at full speed without losing energy. The finale of the night was at 01:00 when Servet threw the bridal bouquet. Young people and those who feel young who could not get enough of the fun continued to dance enthusiastically until the last minutes of the wedding.
Servet and Serdar, I wish you a lifetime of happiness both in your sacred profession and in your family life!
