Probably you know that although my company is in Istanbul, I have been a photographer who has not given up living in Izmir for a long time. I go to any place in the world or Turkey for photo shootings. In fact, I mostly spend my time traveling. For this reason, when I come across a shooting in Izmir, the world is mine. Because sleeping at home after a shooting is over, it is a real luxury for us as destination photographers 🙂 Especially if this shooting is 10 minutes away from home, I cannot tell you the pleasure and comfort of this. You can find the rest of the “Izmir Urla Sahne Wedding Photos” article under the photos.

I will tell you a little about my couple first. I met Sinem during a camera brand ambassador meeting. She is still working at Canon Turkey. The meeting was very enjoyable and I really warmed up to her. Thankfully, she called me a long time after this meeting and said she wanted to work with me for her own wedding. The interesting thing was that I also knew her future husband Onur indirectly. Her brother’s son and my son were school friends. Therefore, the wedding became extra enjoyable for me.
The Team Gathers
Another important bonus was that my dear friend Soven Amatya would join me from London as the second photographer for this shoot. Gökhan from Story Films was also coming from Istanbul. Of course, we had a lot of fun before and after the photo shoot in Izmir with this team of three. The presence of a professional wedding photographer like Soven made me feel very comfortable of course. He had last come to my shoot in Como Lake as the second photographer. The same team was together again years later. To be honest, I had no idea that a wedding was organized at Urla Sahne before. The events and the cafe here were quite popular, and that was all I knew. However, when we visited the venue for reconnaissance on the morning of the wedding, I realized how productive and beautiful the atmosphere was.
Frankly, this place reminded me of the compact and large-area hotels in Cyprus where the whole day was spent. First, we met at the Doors Urla Hotel, where the bride and groom stayed within the Urla Sahne area, with their close friends and relatives. Our shooting hours actually started when the couple arrived at the hotel. Immediately afterwards, we discovered the outdoor shooting, wedding, reception and after party areas.
Urla Stage Wedding Day
While the groomsmen were enjoying the pool on the ground floor of the two-story hotel, preparations had begun in the bridal room upstairs. Of course, the bridal room became even more enjoyable with the increase in friends in the room after a while. After this initial stage that lasted about 3.5 hours, Sinem and Onur were now ready for the photo sesion. After a quick outdoor shoot for about half an hour, our couple entered for the wedding at around 7 o’clock.
The wedding arrangement was on the grass area right behind The Guru restaurant. After a simple and enjoyable wedding, we moved to the outdoor dining area. In fact, this is one of the two concert areas of the venue; Kücük Sahne. If you are curious about the Büyük Sahne, you can see it in the couple’s outdoor shooting photos. The wedding dinner and entertainment took place here in a wonderful environment until midnight. Everyone had a great time with live music.
Finally, we were at the venue prepared for the after party in The Guru. Here too, the last remaining energies were consumed with the DJ:) For me, this wedding was both a beautiful shoot, a beautiful discovery, an opportunity to meet new people, and a chance to see my dear friends. Moreover, I slept at home at night:)
I wish you endless happiness, dear Sinem and Onur.
