Nathalie and Mahir are a Lebanese couple living in Kuwait. They also chose Istanbul for their wedding proposal. In fact, they had made good preparations beforehand, they knew very well what they wanted. I still offered them many options and had them review my portfolio for ideas. Proposal Alternatives
In fact, there are quite a few alternatives for a marriage proposal in Istanbul. Let’s list the most preferred ones for foreign guests.
For example, you can propose in front of one of the landmarks of the city. This could be in Sultanahmet Square, in front of the Galata Tower, on the Bosphorus, in front of one of the palaces etc.
For example, you can make a surprise proposal while eating with a wonderful city view by the sea. Restaurants in luxury hotels on the Bosphorus, rooftop restaurants of high-rise hotels or restaurants with a view built on the hillside of the city can be quite a nice option.
If a completely private area is desired, one of the terraces in the city established for this purpose can be rented. These places can be decorated for you and you can live your proposal completely privately.
As for my favorite way to propose: during a trip on a private yacht on the Bosphorus, with a wonderful view. Music in the background of your choice, a romantic meal and a boat tour are also included.
Proposal Day
Dear Mahir also proposed to Nathalie this way. Actually, we met up for a photo shoot in the afternoon on a wonderful terrace with a view of Ortaköy and the sea. We started our day with a photo shoot here. Then we went to Arnavutköy to get on the boat. We took a Bosphorus tour together for about 2 hours. We also took lots of photos and chatted together. The couple did not want to eat because they had reservations for dinner somewhere else after the boat.
When it got dark, Mahir knelt under the Bosphorus Bridge, took off his ring and proposed. Right at that moment, we had “Will you marry me?” written with a laser under the Bosphorus Bridge. Then the volcanoes burned on the front of the boat. Everything was exactly as we planned. Then Nathalie said yes with “She said yes”. By the way, it is possible to print the text you want this way. A separate boat is on duty for this and they accompany us at the time we specify and project the text under the bridge.
