Istanbul Couple Photographer

There are some couples; you feel their sincerity from the first message. Jessica and Siraj are a sincere couple who came from England but currently live in Karachi. Due to the pandemic process and moving between countries, they could not have the photoshoot they wanted at their wedding. To compensate for this deficiency, we planned a couple photoshoot together in Istanbul, where they spent their honeymoon. You can find the rest of the “Istanbul Couple Photographer” article under the photos.

In her message to me, Jessica told me that they would be in Istanbul in December and wanted to have an outdoor photoshoot while they were there. They wanted a simple but meaningful photoshoot where it would be just the two of them. She also stated that they were open to location suggestions and that their time in Istanbul was short. They were in a busy period as she was a lecturer, but they were paying great attention to all the details. We planned the shoot for a cold December afternoon.

The route I offered them included both historical and photogenic spots in Istanbul such as Galata, Sultanahmet Square, Süleymaniye Mosque and the coastline. I also told them that they could get help from a makeup artist I knew if they wanted. Jessica was very happy with this suggestion.

Romantic Istanbul in the Winter Sun

Our shooting day coincided with the classic winter weather of Istanbul: cold but sunny. In fact, the hours when the sun is at a low angle in this city are quite fascinating for photos. We started the day around Galata. Thanks to Jessica’s elegance and Siraj’s energy, we captured both natural and romantic moments.

Afterwards, we walked around the historical streets of Karaköy. Seagulls accompanied us on the Galata Bridge. Here, the view of the Golden Horn and the silhouette of Galata Tower and Süleymaniye in the background were the most beautiful decorations in our frame.

Our route: From Galata to Süleymaniye

After Galata, our stop was the Yeni Cami area and Sultanahmet Square. Jessica and Siraj and I captured both comfortable and realistic moments by walking in these areas. The last stop of our shooting was Süleymaniye Mosque, which we reached as the sun was setting. The serenity of the courtyard combined with the silhouette of the city in the background made for the most beautiful ending for this special day.

What Remains

The story of Jessica and Siraj actually carries the common feelings of many couples. In life, not everything goes as planned. But in a beautiful city, at the right time, it is always possible to create beautiful memories. I can say that the few hours I spent with them turned into memories that will be told for a lifetime.

If you also want to immortalize your togetherness in Istanbul, I am with you for natural, elegant and sincere shots.
