Cappadocia Honeymoon Photography

Dlpak and Hardawan Erbil are a lovely couple from Iraq who chose Turkey for their outdoor photoshoot. They came to Cappadocia for their honeymoon and couple shoot immediately after their wedding. You can find the rest of the “Cappadocia Honeymoon Photography” article under the photos.

Our couple stayed in Mustafapaşa Town. It is an old Greek village and one of the lesser-known spots in Cappadocia compared to other places. For this reason, it still remained quite protected. It is one of the most beautiful villages in Turkey with its old churches and historical houses. Especially the Gomeda Valey also known as small Ihlara is truly fascinating.

Balloon Flight

First of all we met at Heritage Cave Suites where they were staying, at around 4 am. Since the balloon flights start just before sunrise, it is necessary to meet at these times. In fact, their start of the day was around 2 am as Dlpak had called the hair and makeup team to her room. We had also aranged a flower bouquet the day before at her request. Then, at dawn we set out for Göreme.

The weather was warm but slightly windy and flights might have been canceled if the wind increased. With these concerns we reached the balloon take off area and started to wait. Finally the air inside the half inflated balloons with cold air began to heat up with the burning of propan gas. These flames meant that the flight clearance had been obtained. Now our magnificent sunrise background had been completed.

While the balloons were in the air we took lots of photos in the valley and had a lot of fun together. The sky was colorful and their faces were full of smiles. Our second stop after the balloons was Cavuşin village. Here the slope of the mountain just behind and the clouds formed a wonderful red background for us. We ended our short shoot with photos inside the cave church.

Dlpak and Hardawan are a very energetic and smiling couple and they reflected this abundantly in the photographs. I quite enjoyed the whole shooting period. Most importantly I made two wonderful friends. Best wishes and hope to see you soon.
