Sometimes a shooting day is etched into our memories not only with the photos but also with the feelings it evokes. Cappadocia is exactly such a place. With its fairytale landscapes, balloons, rocks and valleys, it adds a different meaning to each frame. This time, my couple who accompanied me in this magical geography were Hector and Yq from Singapore. You can find the rest of the article “Dreamy Couple Shoot Cappadocia” under the photos.

A Fairytale That Started with Sunrise
Hector first reached out with a sincere e-mail stating that they were planning a wedding photoshoot in Cappadocia. “We want to work with you,” he said in short. He had seen the Singaporean couples I had shot before, stated that he wanted to work with the same makeup artist and wanted to buy the 4th package together with the hair/makeup and carpet store shoot. We made the planning together, selected the outfit and detailed the shooting route.
We started the shooting day early in the morning. At sunrise, we were at the balloon take-off area, one of the symbols of Cappadocia. Those moments when the balloons took off were truly magical. We were lucky; the sky was filled with colorful balloons. Hector and Yq were really smiling all the time in this atmosphere.
Terrace, Cats and Caves
After the balloon shoot, we continued taking photos on the terrace of Mithra Cave Hotel, where the couple was staying. I can say that we captured wonderful frames with the stone rooms, authentic decoration and the view of Cappadocia. During this time, a cat that did not leave us alone joined our camera in a cute way!
Then we turned our route to Çavuşin. The narrow paths passing through the rocks, the soft lights and the wind made the environment very enjoyable in terms of photography.
Carpets, Red Dress and Wind
Our next stop was an authentic carpet and rug store in Göreme. I also used a drone in this shoot among the colorful hand-woven carpets and a visually rich series emerged.
Later in the day, our couple changed into more comfortable clothes by taking off their wedding dresses and suits. Yq’s choice was a long-tailed red dress. The wind of Cappadocia made this dress dance. The image of this dress flying in the valley and the caves we entered became the most impressive frames of the shoot.
What Remains
After the shoot, I received a message from Hector:
“The shoot was very enjoyable. We really liked the photos.”
How happy they were that they left this special day happy. The time I spent with them was not only a professional job; it was also a journey full of friendship and memories.
