Friendship Extending from Brazil to Cappadocia: A Photo Story with Arthur and Lais
Arthur and Lais are two lovely doctors living in Curitiba, Brazil. When they reached out to me, they were dreaming of an outdoor shoot in Cappadocia. Together, we turned this dream into reality, and the result was not only wonderful photos, but also a beautiful friendship.
Brazil is actually a very special place for me. Years ago, I had done a three-week long photo project for Atlas Magazine in São Paulo and the Rio Carnival. It was both a fascinating experience culturally and an incredibly warm experience in terms of people. I made many Brazilian friends on that trip and I still keep in touch with them. So when I met Arthur and Lais, I sensed that a strong bond would form between us, and I was right.
We started at the first light of the morning on the day of the shoot, and until sunset, we had energetic, fun and sincere moments accompanied by the magical landscapes of Cappadocia. Their positivity and harmony were directly reflected in the frames. It was much more than a photo shoot; we had a little adventure together.
We still keep in touch. I hope to visit Arthur and Lais when I visit Brazil again one day. This job gives me not only images but also heartfelt connections from all over the world.
