We met with dear Hazel and Alican at their house on the morning of the wedding day for the preparation. One of my favorite activities in Istanbul weddings is when I have the chance to travel on the Bosphorus. We got on the motor boat together with my dear friend Gokhan and Ozan and we went from Bebek to Sedef Island 4 hours after the preparation. From\ntime to time, we slowed down the boat and took photo shootings of the\n Bosphorus and the sea using the drone. As usual we were having fun\nwhile working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sedef Island<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\nWe\nwere on the boat with first degree relatives and very close friends.\nWe made a 2.5-hour sea journey between Bebek and Sedef Island. From\ntime to time, we slowed down the boat and took photo shootings of the\n Bosphorus and the sea using the drone. As usual we were having fun\nwhile working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sedef\nis the smallest of the Prince Islands, which consists of 5 islands.\nIt has an area of 157 km2. Viewed from above, it got this name\nbecause of its nacre-like vegetation. The island was used as a place\nof exile in Byzantine times and Fethi Ahmet Pasha became the owner of\nthe island in the 19th century under Ottoman rule. In the 1950s, the\ndescendants of Pasha established a housing cooperative and started a\nsettlement at this place and planted trees everywhere. 3\/4 of the\nisland is private property and settlement consists of about 100\nhouses. There is no hotel, hostel etc. available. The only means of\ntransportation is walking. For this reason, the island is well\npreserved and everywhere is still green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elio Sedef<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sedef island is just across Kartal and almost intertwined with Buyukada. Since there are two businesses on the island, it is quite calm, so there is no direct ferry service here. Businesses have their own boat services, from Kartal and Buyukada. Another alternative is the sea taxi. Wedding venue Elio Sedef <\/a>is a very special and pleasant restaurant-club. It also serves as a beach club in the summer. Years ago after the first days of the opening of the restaurant, I made photo shootings for Istanbul Life magazine. I can still remember the taste of the grilled octopus which I ate that day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together with Hazel Alican, we took an approximately one hour photo shooting in Elio and the walking areas of the island. Right after we had a family photo shooting. Then we started waiting for the wedding ceremony with the guests at the pier right at sunset. The view was really amazing. It was a very romantic sunset wedding ceremony. The artist who played the saxophone on the background also did a great job. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wild After<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A wild party started after dinner. A boat arrived for those who were a little older or who were not available to join the program around 24:00. The couple and the remaining guests had fun with electronic music until the first hours of the morning. Together with the boat that came for the last guests like 3 in the morning, we went to Kartal together and went to our homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear\nHazel and Alican have planned a wedding organization in a truly\nextraordinary place. You are just in Istanbul and in a different\nworld at the same time. Bosphorus tour by boat, wedding on the island\nand electronic music. We love the concept. I wish happiness for a\nlifetime to Hazel and Alican.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
