"FISHERMEN BEHIND THE NETS" EXHIBITION AT FOTOTREK
Ufuk Sarisen's first personal exhibition may
be visited at Fotorek Photography Center - Istanbul between 7th of
June and 3th of July. All photographs were taken around Sariyer,
Rumeli Feneri, Rumeli Kavagi and Buyukdere (Istanbul) in fishermen's
boats during 5 mounts. You can see 40 photogrphs and reach the
book of the project in the exhibition hall.

IN THE BALKANS
"Ever since I started photographing in Greece,
in Turkey, and then a bit later in the other Balkan countries,
it was not in order to describe reality. I never believed in the
arrogance of the objective trut." N.E. Magnum photographer Nikos
Economopoulos opened an exhibitionin Istanbul Photography Center
in 3t of May. It will be open until 28th of July. Besides "In
the Balkans" book was published by Fotografevi.

PHOTOGRAPHS POURING DOWN ON THE CITY
ULISphotoFEST, organized by the cooperation of
Photography Foundation (Fotograf Vakfi), Istanbul Slide Show
Photography Association (IFD), Noorderlicht Photography
Foundation and Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, is exposing
the city to the photographs from all over the world, on the 12
th of May, 2007. The festival which will hold 58 photography
exhibitions, 26 photography shows, 5 panels, 2 conferences, 19
film screenings, 3 workshops will be opened with a splendor
ceremony on Friday, the 11 th of May, at the old San Theatre
which used to be one of the most famous cultural areas of the
city in the past.
